Upgrading to the latest available version of OpenOffice in Ubuntu

Summary of steps to upgrade the version of OpenOffice to the latest available update:

download from the OpenOffice web file for Debian and version for our architecture, and of course in Castilian (i386, amd64, etc). Top Link


  • Des-install the version of OpenOffice

    Installed sudo apt-get remove openoffice *

    Unzip the file. TAR.GZ downloaded OpenOffice: tar xvzf
  • OOo_3. 2.1_Linux_x86-64_install-deb_es.tar.gz

    Logging into the freshly created directory: cd
    OOO320_m18_native_packed-1_es.9502 
       cd DEBS
    Run the installer for all packages: sudo dpkg-i *. deb
    • After the installation of these packages, install the desktop integration, then follow these steps
  • cd desktop-integration sudo dpkg -i-debian-menus_3.2 openoffice.org3.2 -9502_all.deb We can enjoy the new version of OpenOffice. . . Visit
